LOUISIANA HUNTER SAFETY FIELD DAY

The purpose of this Louisiana Dept. of Wildlife and Fisheries course is to prevent hunting accidents and ensure the future of hunting by teaching hunters about their responsibilities and important role in wildlife conservation.  Much of the course covers firearm safety, but responsibility, ethics, conservation, and outdoor safety are also covered.  Topics covered include:

  •     Ethical hunting
  •     Conservation and management
  •     Firearms and equipment
  •     Shooting skills
  •     Basic hunting techniques
  •     Traditional hunting
  •     Outdoor safety
  •     Live-fire and testing

Class Length: 6 Hours

What to bring:  Appropriate clothing for shooting on the range, but no other special equipment is required.  All training materials will be provided in class.
